Hello, I’m David from Melbourne, Australia and I have recently graduated from a Diploma of Graphic Design as a mature aged student. Being at a mature age I have an abundance of travel, work and life experience behind me. In fact, I have lived abroad for 10+ years, traveling to 60+ countries and I have worked some life changing jobs along the way.
Upon my return home to Australia in 2022 I felt lost, stagnant and without purpose doing hands-on maintenance for work. I decided a more creative role, and a career in Graphic Design would perfectly fit my lifestyle and personality, therefore I decided to go back to school and start over.
My time at school I learned that my previous work experience had not gone un-noticed. I have previously learned advanced problem-solving skills with the ability and confidence to learn anything on the fly. I learned exceptional time management skills and know how to work efficiently to meet all deadlines. Lastly, I learned proper work ethic, and an understanding of what it takes to get the job done even if it means tedious work hours. These skills, along with my background in Photography and photo editing ensured a quick learning curve and great head start into my career as a Graphic Designer.
I now feel more content, inspired and creative than ever before. I am excited by all aspects of design and eager for all the design work and design projects to come.
